Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a companion of the Messenger ﷺ married a Jewish woman.

Hazrat Hubairah narrates that Hazrat Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) married a Christian woman.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that we were present with Hazrat Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) in the Battle of Qadisiyyah. In those days, we did not have access to Muslim women for marriage, so we married Jewish and Christian women. Then some people divorced them and some kept them.

A neighbor of Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) married a Jewish woman, even though he already had two Arab wives in his marriage.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair says that there is no harm in marrying a woman from the People of the Book.

Hazrat Sha'bi did not consider there to be any harm in marrying women from the People of the Book.

Hazrat Abu Ayyaz says that there is no harm in marrying Jewish and Christian women, however, it is not permissible to marry women from the people at war (Ahl-e-Harb).
