What Should a Person Do If He Is Unable to Perform Hajj?
Hadith 16561
١٦٥٦١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: [كانوا إذا أتوا المريض لم يحج أمروه أن ينحر (بدنه) (١).
It is narrated from Ibrahim that when the companions would visit a sick person who had not performed Hajj, they would instruct him to offer a sacrifice of a camel.
Hadith 16562
١٦٥٦٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن منصور عن إبراهيم قال: كانوا] (١) يستحبون إذا لم يكن حج أن يوصي بهدي.
Ibrahim states that the Companions used to prefer that when one could not perform Hajj, he should make a will for sacrifice.
