Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to urge her mount to move quickly in the Valley of Muhassir.

When Hazrat Umar reached the Valley of Muhassir, he would strike his mount to make it go faster.

Hazrat Ibn Masood would hasten his mount in the Valley of Muhassir.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not consider it objectionable to hasten the ride in the valley of Muhassir, but he disliked doing so in the hills of Arafat.

It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah that he departed from Muzdalifah with Hazrat Husain bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He did not walk fast. When they reached the valley of Muhassir, he said: "Raise your voices loudly, spur with your feet, strike the mount with the whip, and hasten out of the valley," until the ground became level and they had exited the valley of Muhassir.

It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah that Hazrat Umar would make the mount go faster and would recite these verses: "The mount hastens towards you with speed, until it becomes weak. The child in its belly moves, its religion is different from the religion of the Christians." The narrator says that Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair would also ride his mount very swiftly.

Hazrat Khalid bin Abu Usman narrates that I saw Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz riding a non-Arab horse, passing quickly through the valley of Muhassir.

Hazrat Mu'adh Abu Al-Ala reports that I saw Hazrat Qasim bin Muhammad walking briskly in the valley of Muhassir.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) quickened his mount in the Valley of Muhassir.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Usama that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) proceeded, tranquility was upon him, and he also instructed them to maintain tranquility, and in the valley of Muhassir, he urged the mount to move quickly.

Hazrat Umar quickened his mount in the Valley of Muhassir.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) says the same.

Hazrat Ubaidah also says the same.
