Should a Cow Be Given a Collar or Not?
Hadith 16192
١٦١٩٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن أبي معشر عن نافع أن كعبًا أهدى [بقرة مقلدة.
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi' that Hazrat Ka'b sent a sacrificial cow with a collar placed on it.
Hadith 16193
١٦١٩٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا هشيم عن أبي بشر عن سعيد] (١) بن جبير قال: البقر تقلد ولا تشعر.
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair says that a collar will be put on the cow, but it will not be marked (with Ishaar).
Hadith 16194
١٦١٩٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن العمري عن نافع عن ابن عمر أنه كان يقلد البقرة ويشعرها في أسنمتها؛ فإن لم يكن لها سنام فموضعه (١).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) would put a collar on the cow and perform Ish'ar on its hump, and if it did not have a hump, he would perform Ish'ar on the place of the hump.
