If a Mutamatti' Neither Fasts Nor Sacrifices Until the Days Pass
Hadith 16174
١٦١٧٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا شريك عن علي بن (بذيمة) (١) عن مولى لابن عباس قال: تمتعت فنسيت أن أنحر (هدي) (٢)، وأخرت (٣) حتى مضت الأيام، فسألت ابن عباس فقال: اهد هديًا لهديك، وهديًا لما أخرت (٤).
The servant of Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that I performed Tamattu' and forgot to offer the sacrifice, and I delayed the Hady until the days had passed. I asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about it. He said: Offer one Hady for your Hady, and one Hady for delaying it.
Hadith 16175
١٦١٧٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال: حدثنا حماد بن (زيد) (١) عن الصلت بن (راشد) (٢) قال: سألت طاوسًا عن رجل تمتع فلم يصم ولم يذبح ⦗٥٤⦘ حتى مضت الأيام قال: فقال: يذبح، قلت: لا يجد، قال: يبيع ثوبه، قلت: لا يجد، قال: فليستسلف من أصحابه، قلت: لا يعطونه، قال: كذبت.
Hazrat Salat ibn Rashd narrates that I asked Hazrat Tawus about a person who performed Hajj Tamattu’, but neither fasted nor offered a sacrifice until the days had passed. He replied that he should offer a sacrifice. I said that he does not have an animal for sacrifice. He said that he should sell his clothes and buy one. I said that he does not have any clothes either. He said that he should borrow from his companions. I said that they do not give him anything. He replied, "You have lied."
Hadith 16176
١٦١٧٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال: حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن عبد الكريم عن عطاء وسعيد بن جبير في (رجل) (١) تمتع فلم يذبح ولم يصم (قال: فقالا) (٢): وجب (٣) عليه الدم.
Hazrat Ata and Saeed bin Jubair state regarding the person who performs Hajj Tamattu' and neither offers a sacrifice nor keeps fasts, that a sacrificial animal (dam) is obligatory upon him.
