Those Who Face the Qiblah at Arafah
Hadith 16081
١٦٠٨١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن أشعث عن الحسن قال: كان يقول: من وقف بعرفة استقبل البيت.
Hasan says that whoever performs the standing at Arafah should face towards the Qiblah.
Hadith 16082
١٦٠٨٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن ابن جريج قال: قلت لنافع: كان ابن عمر يستقبل البيت في الموقف (بعرفة) (١) قال: نعم (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Jurayj states that I asked Hazrat Nafi‘ whether Hazrat Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) intended to face the Qiblah at ‘Arafat? He replied: Yes.
Hadith 16083
١٦٠٨٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حاتم عن جعفر عن أبيه عن جابر أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ ركب حتى أتى الموقف فجعل (بطن) (١) ناقته القصوى إلى الصخرات، وجعل (حبل) (٢) المشاة بين يديه، واستقبل القبلة فلم يزل واقفا حتى غربت الشمس (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Arafat riding on a mount, and turned the direction of the she-camel Qaswa towards the rocks; Jabal Mashat was in front of him, and he faced the Qiblah and remained standing continuously until the sun set.
