Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim says that the same recompense will be given to all.

Hazrat Sha'bi also says the same.

Hazrat Hakam states that if all of them participate in the hunting and his companions do not pay the compensation, then the entire compensation is obligatory upon that one person.

Hazrat Ata, Hazrat Tawus, and Hazrat Mujahid state that in this case, only one compensation is obligatory upon all. And Hazrat Mujahid states that if all of them have eaten from it, then separate compensation is obligatory upon each one.

Hazrat Saeed says that a separate recompense is obligatory for each one.

Hazrat Sha'bi also says the same.

Hazrat Sha'bi says that if all participate in the hunt, then compensation is obligatory upon each one.

Hazrat Ata says that if (anyone) eats from it, then compensation is obligatory on each one; and if (they) do not eat from it, then only one compensation is obligatory on both of them.

Hazrat Hajjaj says that I asked Hazrat Abu Ja'far and Hazrat Ata that if some people in the state of Ihram hunt together? He replied that one penalty will be obligatory on all.

Hazrat Ata says that if two people together hunt an animal, then only one expiation is obligatory upon them, but if they eat from it, then a separate expiation is obligatory upon each of them.

Hasan says that expiation is obligatory upon each of them.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked: What if a group of people walking on foot hunt (an animal)? He replied: Only one penalty (compensation) is required from all of them.

Hazrat Zuhri says that if two people together hunt an animal, then the penalty for it is equally obligatory on both.

Hazrat Sha'bi says that a separate punishment is obligatory for each one, and Hazrat Hammad says that one punishment is sufficient on behalf of both. The narrator says that I mentioned Hazrat Sha'bi's statement to Hazrat Harith; he said that the correct statement is the one made by Hazrat Hammad.
