Where to Pray Inside the Ka'bah
Hadith 15888
١٥٨٨٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن عبيد اللَّه عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال: دخل النبي ﷺ البيت وعثمان بن طلحة (وبلال) (١)، فأجافوا عليهم الباب طويلًا ثم فتحوا، فكنت أول الناس فلقيت بلالًا فقلت: أين صلى رسول اللَّه ﷺ؟ قال: بين العمودين المقدمين (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Usman bin Talha, and Hazrat Bilal entered the Ka'bah. Then the door remained closed for quite some time. When the door was opened, I was the first to enter and I met Hazrat Bilal and asked him, "Where did the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offer the prayer?" Hazrat Bilal replied, "Between the two front pillars."
Hadith 15889
١٥٨٨٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبدة عن هشام عن أبيه أن النبي ﷺ صلَّى في البيت تجاهه حين دخله (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah that after entering the Ka'bah, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered prayer directly in front.
Hadith 15890
١٥٨٩٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن عبد الملك عن عطاء قال: قلت له: أصلي في نواحي البيت؟ قال: نعم، (صل) (١) في أي نواحيه شئت.
Hazrat Abdul Malik says that I asked Hazrat Ata whether it is permissible to pray inside the Kaaba (in any part of it)? He replied, "Yes, you may pray in whichever corner you wish."
Hadith 15891
١٥٨٩١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن يزيد بن أبي زياد عن مجاهد (عن) (١) صفوان (أو) (٢) ابن صفوان أن النبي ﷺ صلى في البيت ركعتين حين دخله (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Safwan that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the Ka'bah, he performed two rak'ahs (units of prayer).
