Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair states that in my opinion, for travelers, performing Tawaf is superior to offering Salah.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) was asked whether performing Tawaf is superior or offering Salah (prayer)? He replied that for the residents of Makkah, Salah is superior, and for travelers, Tawaf is superior.

Hazrat Hajjaj says that I asked Hazrat Ata? He replied that for you, tawaf is superior, and for the people of Makkah, prayer.

Hazrat Mujahid says that for the people of Makkah, offering prayer is more virtuous.

Hazrat Mujahid says that for the people of Makkah, performing prayer is superior, and for those coming from other cities, performing Tawaf is superior.
