Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there was a person in the state of Ihram with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and a camel threw him down and killed him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bathe him with water and lote tree leaves, shroud him in his Ihram garments, do not cover his head, and do not apply any fragrance to him. Surely, Allah Almighty will raise him on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not cover his head, surely Allah Almighty will raise him on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah.

Hazrat Ata was asked if a person in the state of Ihram passes away, should his head be covered while shrouding him? He replied that the head of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) was covered, but apart from him, no one else's head was covered.

Hazrat Tawus says that if a Muhrim passes away, then his head will be covered.

Hasan says that when a Muhrim dies, he is no longer a Muhrim; he is now lawful (halal).

Hazrat Aamir says that when a Muhrim passes away, his Ihram comes to an end.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that when a Muhrim passes away, his Ihram comes to an end.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked, "What should be done if a person in the state of Ihram passes away?" She replied, "Do with him what you do with your (other) deceased."

Hazrat Ikrimah was asked, "What if a person in the state of Ihram passes away?" He replied, "His Ihram has ended; he will be shrouded in the same manner as a person who was not in Ihram."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ata that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Cover their faces, do not imitate the Jews.

Hazrat Abu Ja'far, regarding Muharram, says that his head will be covered and will not be left uncovered.

Hazrat Ata says that perfume will not be applied to him.
