ما قالوا إذا نسي السعي بين الصفا والمروة؟
If someone forgets the sa'i between Safa and Marwah
Hadith 14785
١٤٧٨٥ - [حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن ابن جريج عن عطاء عن ابن عباس قال: إن شاء سعى بين الصفا والمروة. وإن شاء لم يسع] (١) (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said that if one wishes, one may perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and if one wishes, one may leave it.
Hadith 14786
١٤٧٨٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن ابن جريج عن عطاء أنه كان لا يرى (على) (١) من لم يسع بيهت (الصفا) (والمروة) (٢) شيئًا قلت: قد ترك شيئا من سنة رسول اللَّه ﷺ، (قال: ليس عليه) (٣) وكان يفتي في العلانية بدم.
Hazrat Ata did not consider anything obligatory upon the one who omitted the Sa'i between Safa and Marwah. Hazrat Ibn Jurayj states that I submitted, "He has abandoned the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him)." He replied, "There is nothing upon him," although he used to openly give the fatwa for sacrifice.
Hadith 14787
١٤٧٨٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن ⦗٢٧٩⦘ عائشة قالت: ما أتم (اللَّه) (١) حج من لم يسع بين الصفا والمروة، ثم (قرأت) (٢): ﴿إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ﴾ [البقرة: ١٥٨] (٣).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Whoever omitted the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, Allah the Exalted did not complete his Hajj. Then she recited this verse from the Holy Qur’an, { اِنَّ الصَّفَا وَ الْمَرْوَۃَ مِنْ شَعَآئِرِ اللّٰہِ }.
