Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that Ibrahim said to his son: Bring me a stone. He went away, and when he returned, (he saw that) Ibrahim was mounted on a stone. Ismail asked, (Father) where did this come from? He replied: Those who did not rely on your construction brought it to me. This stone was brought to me from the heavens by Hazrat Jibreel.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) states that this is a stone from among the stones of Paradise, and if it had not been touched by the impure people of ignorance, then no afflicted person would have touched it except that he would have been cured (made well) by it.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Allah Almighty sent down this stone from Paradise: Surely, this stone was whiter than snow, but the sins of the children of Adam turned it black.

Hazrat Ka'b was asked about the Hajar Aswad. He replied that it is one of the stones from Paradise.

Hazrat Anas narrates that there is a stone among the stones of Paradise.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Perform Hajj of the House of Allah and touch the Hajar Aswad. By Allah, it will surely be taken away or some matter from the sky will befall it. Indeed, two stones were sent down from Paradise; one has already been taken up and soon the other will also be taken up. And if what I am saying does not happen, then whoever passes by my grave should say: This is the grave of Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), who (God forbid) was a liar.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ziyad, who was a slave of Banu Makhzum, that if this stone had not been touched by the sins (sinners) of the children of Adam, then no afflicted person would have touched it except that he would have been freed from it.
