Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from the father of Abu Al-Baddah bin 'Adi that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the shepherds to perform Rami (stoning) on one day and to leave Rami on the next day.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ata that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the shepherds to perform the stoning at night.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ata that Hazrat Umar had given permission to the shepherds to spend the night at Mina. The narrator says that I mentioned this to Hazrat Zuhri. He said that the shepherds used to perform the stoning (rami) at night, but they did not spend the night there.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) once arranged the stoning of the Jamarat among the camel herders in such a way that he ordered those who were present, so they performed the stoning after the sun had passed its zenith, then they went back to their camels, and the herders who had been with the camels came, then they stayed until the next morning, and after the sun had passed its zenith, they performed the stoning.
