Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when you see the Quraysh demolishing the House of Allah and rebuilding and decorating it, then if you have the power, stop them from doing so. If your life is lost in this matter, do not hesitate to sacrifice your life.

Hazrat Ata narrates that I was holding the reins of Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him)'s horse. He said: "What will be your condition when you people will demolish this House of Allah and not leave any stone upon another stone?" The people asked, "Will we be on Islam at that time?" He replied, "(Yes) at that time we will be on Islam." I asked, "Then why will this happen?" He said, "Then it will be rebuilt on a better construction than before. When you see that small streams of water have emerged in Makkah Mukarramah and you see that buildings have risen higher than the mountains, then know that the matter has come near you (the Day of Judgment is near)."

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Benefit from the House of Allah before it is raised, for surely soon it will be raised and demolished twice, and then it will be raised a third time.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Holy Prophet said: If I had the means (and strength), I would demolish the Kaaba and rebuild it in such a way that I would make two doors in it—one door for people to enter and another door for them to exit. The narrator says that when Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair became the ruler, he demolished the Kaaba and made two doors in it, and it remained like this. When Hajjaj bin Yusuf overpowered him, he demolished the Kaaba and rebuilt it in its original form.
