Can a muhrim wear a Yemeni striped silk shawl?
Hadith 14470
١٤٤٧٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا زيد بن حباب عن موسى بن عبيدة قال: رأيت عمر بن عبد العزيز محرمًا وعليه حلة حبرة.
Hazrat Musa bin Ubaidah narrates that I saw Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz in the state of Ihram wearing a Yemeni striped sheet.
Hadith 14471
١٤٤٧١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن هشام عن (الحسن) (١) قال: يحرم فيما شاء، (إن شاء) (٢) في ثوبين أبيضين، وإن شاء في ثوبين غسيلين، وإن شاء في (ثوبي) (٣) حبرة.
Hasan says that a pilgrim in the state of Ihram may wear whatever clothes he wishes; if he wants, he may wear two white garments, and if he wants, he may wear washed clothes, and if he wants, he may wear Yemeni striped garments.
