Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim says that the sick person will be brought to all the rituals of Hajj and he will be made to perform Tawaf in a palanquin, and when he intends to perform Rami, stones will be placed on his palm, then pebbles will be picked up from his palm and the Rami will be performed.

Hazrat Ata says that the stoning will be performed on his behalf.

Hazrat Tawus says that Tawaf will be performed and Rami will be done on behalf of the sick person.

Hasan and Hazrat Ata say that the stoning will be done on his behalf.

Hazrat Abdul Jabbar bin Ward narrates that my father was ill, so he sent me to Hazrat Mujahid to inquire about the stoning of Jamarat. He said: Whoever among the close family members is nearest should perform the stoning on his behalf.

Hazrat Ata says that if someone performs Tawaf on behalf of a sick person, the sick person should pay him a wage.

Hazrat Tawus was asked about a sick woman. He said: One of her family members should perform the Rami on her behalf.
