Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib says: Whoever performs Umrah in Shawwal or Dhu al-Qa'dah, then stays there and also performs Hajj, he will be counted among those who perform Hajj Tamattu'. It is obligatory for him to offer whatever sacrificial animal is available. If he does not find a sacrificial animal, then he should fast for three days during the days of Hajj and seven days after returning home.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) prescribed that a person performing Hajj Tamattu’ should slaughter a camel or a cow, and if he does not find one, then he should fast three days during the days of Hajj and seven days after returning home.
