Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Sufyan, who is the servant of Abdullah bin Iyas, says that I saw the companions of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in the state of Ihram, wearing white clothes and clothes dyed in red color.

Hazrat Kathir bin Jumhan says that a person came to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) and submitted: O Abu Abdur Rahman, have you forbidden people from wearing dyed clothes while you yourself wear them? He replied: Woe to you, that is red clay.

Hazrat Yaqub bin Qais says that I saw Hazrat Tawus in the state of Ihram wearing two garments that were dyed with a plant called Maghrah.

Hazrat Haram bin Hisham says that I saw Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz in the state of Ihram wearing two garments dyed in red color.
