Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hasan narrates that Ibn Amir assumed Ihram from Khurasan.

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Amr bin Al-Aas narrates that once I set out with the intention of performing Hajj, and I met Hazrat Usman bin Abi Al-Aas. He assumed Ihram from the place of Manjashaniyyah, which is near Basra.

Muhammad says that we set out to go to Mecca and Hazrat Humaid bin Abdur Rahman was with us. We assumed Ihram from Daarat (the valley between the mountains).

Hazrat Muslim bin Yasar entered into the state of Ihram from the place of Dhuriyyah (which is a settlement between Makkah and Basrah).

Hazrat Imran bin Husain entered into Ihram from Basra.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) assumed Ihram from Bayt al-Maqdis.

Hazrat Abu Masood put on the Ihram from the place of Sailheen (which is a village of Baghdad).

Ibrahim says that the companions of the Prophet liked that a person performing Hajj for the first time should assume Ihram from his home.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) assumed Ihram from Shaam during severe cold weather.

The father of Hazrat Hilal bin Khabbab narrates that I set out from Kufa in the state of Ihram with Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair.

Hazrat Harith bin Qais narrates that I set out with the companions of Hazrat Abdullah to go to Makkah Mukarramah. When we left the house, it was time for prayer, so all of them performed the prayer and then they recited the Talbiyah. So I also recited the Talbiyah with them, even though I did not wish to, because I did not like to go against them.

Hazrat Aswad used to enter into Ihram from his home.

Hazrat Hakam bin Atiyyah says: The person who saw Hazrat Qais bin Abad putting on Ihram at the Mirbad of Basra (where poets used to gather) narrated to me.

When Hazrat Alqamah set out with the intention of Hajj, he would enter into Ihram from Najaf and Qasr, and Hazrat Aswad would enter into Ihram from Qadisiyyah.

Hazrat Abu Juwayriyah narrates that I saw Hazrat Aswad assuming Ihram from Bajmayri, which is a village in Syria.

Hazrat Abu Khalid says that I saw Hazrat Aswad putting on Ihram from Kufa.

Hazrat Mak'hool says that I asked Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) if a person assumes Ihram from Samarkand, Basra, and Kufa? He replied: If only we would adhere to the Miqat that has been prescribed.

Hazrat Abu Umais narrates that I went out with Hazrat Qasim; he assumed Ihram from the place of Rabzah.

Hazrat Ibn Abi Layla narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) assumed Ihram from Madinah.

Hazrat Ash'ath bin Abu al-Sha'tha reports that I saw Hazrat Harith bin Suwaid al-Taimi and Hazrat Amr bin Maymun assuming Ihram from Kufa.

Hazrat Tawus says that by their completion is meant that both of them should start separately (individually) from their own homes (by entering into Ihram).

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) assumed Ihram from Shaam during severe cold weather.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites the Talbiyah for Umrah from Bayt al-Maqdis (after entering into Ihram), his sins are forgiven.
