Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever performs the circumambulation (Tawaf) of the House of Allah, for every step he takes and places, a good deed is written for him, a sin is erased, and his rank in Paradise is elevated. And he (the Prophet) also said: I heard him say that whoever completes seven circuits (of Tawaf), he receives the reward equal to that of freeing a slave.

Hazrat Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir narrates from his father that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever completes seven circuits of the Ka'bah in such a way that he does not commit any wrong or useless act during it, he will receive a reward equal to that of one who frees a slave.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: Whoever performs fifty circuits (Tawaf) of the House of Allah (the Ka'bah) comes out purified from sins as if his mother has just given birth to him today.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Whoever performs seven circuits (Tawaf) of the House of Allah and then offers two units of prayer, it is as if his mother has given birth to him on this very day.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Whoever performs Tawaf of the House of Allah receives a reward equal to that of freeing a slave.

Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri says: Performing Tawaf of the House of Allah is more beloved to me than freeing Tahman (Tahman was the name of Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri's slave).

The narration from Abu Muawiyah is transmitted from Hazrat Abu Saeed in a similar manner.

Hazrat Mujahid says that performing Tawaf of the Ka'bah is superior to performing Umrah after Hajj.
