Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Shurahbil bin Simt narrates that I said to Hazrat Ka’b bin Murrah: O Ka’b! Tell us a hadith of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He replied: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever frees a Muslim, it will be a means of protection for him from the Fire; for every limb of his, a limb of the freed person will be a ransom. And whoever frees two Muslim slave women, they both will be a protection and shield for him from the Fire; the limbs of both of them will suffice for one of his limbs.

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever frees a believing slave, Allah Almighty will free one of his limbs from Hell in exchange for each of the slave’s limbs, even his private part in exchange for the slave’s private part.

Hazrat Fatimah bint Ali (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from her father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frees the life of a believer or a Muslim, Allah Almighty will save each limb of the one who frees from the Fire in exchange for each limb of the freed person.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has a slave-girl, teaches her good manners and gives her the best education, then sets her free and marries her, for him there are two rewards.
