Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Ibrahim that a woman made a vow that she would pray in fifty mosques and collect charity from fifty houses and then give it as charity. She was instructed not to collect the charity because this is a sin; she should offer expiation for her oath and pray in fifty mosques because prayer is among the acts of obedience.

It is narrated from Hasan that if a woman vows to pray at every pillar of the mosque of Basra, then she should stand in one place and perform prayers equal to the number of pillars in the mosque.

Hazrat Marrah narrates that I entered the mosque and I was saying in my heart that I will perform two rak'ahs at every pillar. A person was glaring at me with a sideways glance; I did not know him. When I sat down, I saw that Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was present. I went and sat near him, and that person was looking at me; he was with him and did not know my place. He said, "O Abu Abdur Rahman! One enters a mosque and says that he will perform two rak'ahs at every pillar?" He (Ibn Mas'ud) replied, "If he knows that Allah Almighty is already at the first pillar, he will not turn away from there until he completes his prayer." Hazrat Marrah says that I abandoned what I had intended to pray.
