Hadith 12923
١٢٩٢٣ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم عن داود بن أبي هند عن عامر قال: (سأل) (١) رجل ابن عباس عن رجل نذر أن ينحر ابنه (قال) (٢): ينحر مائة من الإبل كما (فدى) (٣) (بها) (٤) (عبد المطلب) (٥) ابنه (٦).
Hazrat Aamir narrates that a person asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that a man has made a vow to sacrifice his son? He replied: He will sacrifice one hundred camels, just as Hazrat Abdul Muttalib gave the ransom for his son. And others say he will sacrifice a ram, as Ibrahim did in place of his son Hazrat Ishaq (Ismail). Then I asked Hazrat Masrooq about this matter, and he said: This is one of the ways of Satan; there is no expiation for it.
Hadith 12926
١٢٩٢٦ - حدثنا عباد عن خالد عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس (في الرجل) (١) يقول: هو ينحر ابنه قال: (يذيح) (٢) كبشًا كما فدى إبراهيم إسحاق (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) was asked that a person says he will sacrifice his son. He replied: He should sacrifice a ram, just as Ibrahim did in place of his son Ishaq (Ismail).
Hadith 12927
١٢٩٢٧ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم عن يحيى بن سعيد عن القاسم قال: كنت عند ابن عباس فجاءته امرأة، فقالت: إني نذرت أن أنحر ابني، (فقال) (١) ابن عباس: لا ⦗٣٦٠⦘ تنحري ابنك وكفري عن يمينك، (قال) (٢): فقال رجل عند ابن عباس: (إنه) (٣) لا وفاء لنذر في معصية، فقال ابن عباس: أليس قد قال اللَّه (٤) في الظهار: ﴿وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَقُولُونَ مُنْكَرًا مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَزُورًا﴾ [المجادلة: ٢]، (ثم) (٥) قال فيه من الكفارة ما سمعت (٦).
Hazrat Qasim narrates that I was with Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) when a woman came and said, "I have made a vow that I will sacrifice my son." Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said to her, "Do not sacrifice your son and pay the expiation for your oath." There was a man present with Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) who said, "A vow involving disobedience is not to be fulfilled (and there is no expiation for it)." Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "Did Allah Almighty not say regarding the issue of zihar: { وَاِِنَّہُمْ لَیَقُوْلُوْنَ مُنْکَرًا مِّنَ الْقَوْلِ وَزُورًا } Then he said, 'In this there is the expiation which you have heard about.'"
Hadith 12928
١٢٩٢٨ - [حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن منصور عن الحكم عن (علي) (١) في رجل نذر أن ينحر ابنه قال: يهدي ديته] (٢).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that if a person makes a vow to sacrifice his son, then he should give his blood money as an offering.
Hadith 12929
١٢٩٢٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن فراس عن (الشعبي) (١) قال: إذا قال: هو (ينحر ابنه فبدنة) (٢).
Hazrat Sha'bi says that when a person says he will sacrifice his son, he should make his son perform Hajj.
Hadith 12930
١٢٩٣٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الكريم عن عطاء قال: إذا قال: هو (ينحره) (١) (فبدنة) (٢).
The same is narrated from Hazrat Ata as well.
Hadith 12931
١٢٩٣١ - حدثنا وكيع عن علي بن مبارك عن يحيى عن عكرمة في رجل نذر أن ينحر ابنه، قال: يذبح كبشًا (فيتصدق) (١) بلحمه، ثم قال: ﴿قَدْ كَانَتْ لَكُمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ﴾ (٢) [الممتحنة: ٤].
Hazrat Ikrimah was asked if a person vows to sacrifice his son. He replied that he should sacrifice a ram and give its meat in charity. Then he said: Indeed, there is the best example for you in the way of Ibrahim.
Hadith 12932
١٢٩٣٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن (سفيان) (١) عن الحسن عن إبراهيم في رجل نذر أن ينحر ابنه، قال: يحجه وينحر بدنة.
It is narrated from Ibrahim: If a person vows to sacrifice his son, it was said that he should sacrifice a camel.
Hadith 12933
١٢٩٣٣ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم عن ابن عباس في الرجل يقول: هو ينحر ابنه، قال: يهدي ديته، أو كبشًا (١).
A person asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he had made a vow to sacrifice his son. He replied that he should pay his blood money or sacrifice a ram.
