Hadith 12753
١٢٧٥٣ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث (عن ليث) (١) عن طاوس وعطاء ومجاهد قالوا: ما كان (من) (٢) هدي إلى البيت فليشتر به بدنا فيتصدق بها.
Hazrat Tawus, Hazrat Ata, and Hazrat Mujahid state that whatever is offered as a sacrificial gift for the House of Allah should be sold and a camel should be purchased with it, and that should be given in charity.
Hadith 12754
١٢٧٥٤ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم عن العلاء بن المسيب قال: سألت عطاء عن (سبعة) (١) دراهم بعثت بها امرأته هدية إلى البيت، قال عطاء: إن بيتكم هذا غني عن دراهمكم، ولكن أعطوها لفقرائكم، إنما البدن هدايا البيت.
Hazrat Alaa bin Al-Musayyib narrates that I asked Hazrat Ata: A woman has sent seven dirhams as a gift for the House of Allah (Baitullah)? Hazrat Ata replied: Your house (the House of Allah) is independent of your dirhams, but give this to its poor people; indeed, camels are the gifts for the House of Allah.
