True patience is at the onset of calamity
Hadith 12464
١٢٤٦٤ - حدثنا شبابة بن سوار عن ليث (بن) (١) سعد عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن (سعد) (٢) بن (سنان) (٣) عن أنس عن النبي ﷺ قال: "الصبر في الصدمة الأولى" (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: True patience is that which is shown at the onset of a calamity.
Hadith 12465
١٢٤٦٥ - [حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن منصور عن مجاهد قال: كان يقال: إنما الصبر عند الصدمة الأولى] (١).
Hazrat Mujahid says that true patience is that which is shown at the onset of a calamity.
Hadith 12466
١٢٤٦٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن محمد بن (عبد اللَّه) (١) (٢) العقيلي عن أبي سلمة الحمصي قال: الصبر عند الصدمة الأولى.
Hazrat Abu Salamah Al-Himsi says that true patience is that which is observed at the onset of the calamity.
Hadith 12467
١٢٤٦٧ - [حدثنا يحيى بن (أبي) (١) بكير عن شعبة عن ثابت قال: سمعت أنسًا يقول: إن النبي ﷺ قال: "إن الصبر في أو عند الصدمة الأولى] (٢) " (٣).
Hazrat Thabit narrates that I heard Hazrat Anas say that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "True patience is that which is shown at the first stroke of calamity."
Hadith 12468
١٢٤٦٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن (١) أبي حمزة عن إبراهيم قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "الصبر عند الصدمة الأولى" (٢).
It is narrated from Ibrahim that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: True patience is only at the first stroke of calamity.
