What has been reported regarding the funeral prayer of King Najashi
Hadith 12314
١٢٣١٤ - حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة عن (أبي) (١) المهلب عن عمران بن حصين عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال: "إن (أخًا لكم) (٢) قد مات، (فقوموا) (٣) فصلوا عليه" (يعني النجاشي) (٤) (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Your brother has passed away, stand up and offer his funeral prayer, meaning Najashi's.
Hadith 12315
١٢٣١٥ - [حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن يونس عن ابن سيرين عن عمران بن حصين أن النبى ﷺ قال: "إن أخاكم النجاشي قد مات فصلوا عليه] (١) " (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Your brother Najashi has passed away, perform his funeral prayer.
Hadith 12316
١٢٣١٦ - حدثنا عفان (ثنا) (١) بشر بن مفضل عن (يونس عن) (٢) ابن سبرين عن (أبي) (٣) المهلب عن عمران بن حصين عن النبي ﷺ بنحو من حديث عبد الأعلى (٤).
A narration similar to this is reported from Hazrat Imran bin Husain.
Hadith 12317
١٢٣١٧ - حدثنا معاوية بن هشام عن سفيان عن (حمران) (١) بن أعين عن أبي الطفيل عن (ابن جارية) (٢) الأنصاري أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "إن أخاكم النجاشي قد مات (٣)، [فصلوا عليه" (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Jariyah Ansari that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your brother Najashi has passed away, perform his funeral prayer.
Hadith 12318
١٢٣١٨ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب عن أبي هريرة قال: إن النجاشي قد مات فخرج رسول اللَّه ﷺ إلى البقيع (وأصحابه) (١) فصففنا خلفه وتقدم رسول اللَّه ﷺ] (٢) فكبر أربع تكبيرات (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Najashi passed away, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and his companions went to Jannat al-Baqi. We formed rows behind him, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) stepped forward and said four takbirs.
Hadith 12319
١٢٣١٩ - حدثنا محمد بن عبد اللَّه الأسدي عن شريك عن أبي إسحاق عن الشعبي عن جرير قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إن أخاكم النجاشي قد مات فاستغفروا له" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jarir that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your brother Najashi has passed away, so seek forgiveness for him.
Hadith 12320
١٢٣٢٠ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أنا سليم بن (حيان) (١) ثنا (سعيد) (٢) بن ميناء عن (جابر) (٣) بن عبد اللَّه أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ صلى على (أصحمة) (٤) النجاشي فكبر عليه أربعًا (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the funeral prayer of Ashamah Najashi and recited four takbirs over him.
Hadith 12321
١٢٣٢١ - حدثنا حفص عن أشعث عن (الحسن) (١) وابن سيرين أن النبي ﷺ صلى على النجاشي (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Sirin that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the funeral prayer for Najashi, and Hasan says that he prayed for him.
