Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hisham states that Hazrat Urwah had made a will that he should not be buried in Jannat al-Baqi', because if he is a believer, he does not wish to cause him hardship, and if he is a sinner, he does not want to contend with them regarding this matter.

Hazrat Abu Ubaidah narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) had made a will that I should be buried in the grave of Hazrat Usman bin Maz'oon.

Hazrat Sufyan narrates from a person that Hazrat Khaythamah had made a will that I should be buried near the poor of my tribe.

Hazrat Qais narrates that when the time of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) approached, she said, "Bury me with the other noble wives." This was informed to me later.

Hazrat Amr bin Maymoon narrates that Hazrat Umar said to Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): Go to Umm Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), convey my greetings to her, and request her that Umar seeks permission to be buried with his companions. When Hazrat Abdullah went to her, he found her sitting and weeping. He greeted her and said: Hazrat Umar seeks permission to be buried with his companions? She replied: By Allah! I had reserved that place for myself, but today I give preference to Umar over myself.
