Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Ja'far, Hazrat Salim, and Hazrat Qasim state that the blessed grave of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the blessed grave of Hazrat Siddiq Akbar, and the blessed grave of Hazrat Umar were inclined towards the Qibla (facing the Qibla), and bricks had been fixed upon them.

Hazrat Aamir says that I saw the graves of the martyrs which were sunken, and (fine quality) grass was growing on them.

Hazrat Sufyan al-Tammar narrates that I entered the house in which the blessed grave of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is. I saw the blessed grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the graves of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq and Hazrat Umar; they were mound-shaped.

Hazrat Abi Naamah narrates that I attended a funeral with Hazrat Musa bin Talha. He (after the funeral) said: Make its grave raised like a hump.

Imam Shabi states that I saw the graves of the martyrs of Uhud; they were bent, resembling humps.

Hazrat Khalid bin Usman narrates from a person that a few days after burying Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), I saw his grave and it was raised like a hump.
