Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Musa bin Talha narrates that the Sa’ of Hajjaji was like the Sa’ of Hazrat Umar bin Khattab.

It is narrated from Ibrahim that the Qafeez of Hajjaj was one saa'.

Hazrat Mughira states that regarding the expiation of oaths, buying and selling, feeding sixty needy people, and the payment of ‘ushr and half ‘ushr, Ibrahim’s fatwa was based on the Qafeez Hajjaji, which was equivalent to one sa‘.

Hasan narrates that the Sa’ of Hazrat Umar Farooq was eight ratl. Hazrat Shareek states that it was more than seven ratl and less than eight.

Hazrat Abu Juhaifa narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a collector of charity to us. He collected zakat from our wealthy and distributed it among our poor. At that time, I was an orphan boy; he also gave me a young she-camel.
