Those who say it is better to break the fast before Maghrib prayer
Hadith 10051
١٠٠٥١ - حدثنا حسين بن علي (عن) (١) زائدة عن حميد عن أنس أن النبي ﷺ كان لا يصلي حتى يفطر ولو بشربة من ماء (٢).
Hazrat Anas narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not perform the prayer before breaking the fast, even if he broke the fast with just a sip of water.
Hadith 10052
١٠٠٥٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن الحسن بن حكيم عن أمه عن أبي (برزة) (١) الأسلمي قال: كان يأمر أهله أن يفطروا قبل الصلاة على ما تيسر (٢).
Hazrat Abu Barzah Aslami used to instruct his family members to break their fast before the prayer as much as possible.
Hadith 10053
١٠٠٥٣ - حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم قال: كان الأسود لا يفطر (في رمضان) (١) حتى يصلي المغرب.
Ibrahim narrates that Hazrat Aswad used to break his fast before the Maghrib prayer in Ramadan.
Hadith 10054
١٠٠٥٤ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن حميد بن عبد الرحمن أن عمر وعثمان كانا يصليان المغرب إذا رأيا الليل (و) (١) كانا يفطران قبل أن يصليا (٢).
Hazrat Humaid bin Abdur Rahman narrates that Hazrat Umar and Hazrat Uthman used to perform the Maghrib prayer after sunset, and both of them used to break their fast before the prayer.
