Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Umar bin Umar bin Muhammad bin Hatib narrates that once a great leader from the non-Arabs came to meet Hazrat Umar. He inquired about Hazrat Umar and was informed that Hazrat Umar was outside Madinah. He set out to meet Hazrat Umar and met him while he was returning. That leader wanted to prostrate before Hazrat Umar, but Hazrat Umar said, "Raise your head for the One and Only Subduer."

Hazrat Masna reports that once a Christian priest came to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and prostrated before him. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) forbade him and said, "Prostrate to Allah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'adh that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If I were to permit anyone to prostrate to anyone other than Allah, I would have commanded a woman to prostrate to her husband.

Hazrat Maisarah says that when the non-Arabs would prostrate to Hazrat Salman, he would lower his head and say, "I fear Allah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If I were to permit anyone to prostrate to anyone other than Allah, I would have commanded a woman to prostrate to her husband.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I were to permit anyone to prostrate to anyone other than Allah, I would have commanded a woman to prostrate to her husband.
