Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer prayer at night while I would be lying between him and the Qiblah. When he intended to perform Witr, he would wake me up and I would offer Witr.

Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair once led us in prayer. After praying one or two rak‘ahs, a woman passed in front of us, but Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair did not pay any attention to it.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I would be lying down at night in a state of menstruation and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would be praying next to me. Part of my sheet would be on him and part of it on me.

Hazrat Abu Ja'far Fara says that I asked Hazrat Sa'id bin Jubair: If a man is praying and a woman passes in front of him, what is the ruling? He replied: Nothing breaks the prayer.

Hazrat Ikrimah narrates that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) was asked whether a woman's, donkey's, or dog's passing in front breaks the prayer. In response, he recited this blessed verse {إلَیْہِ یَصْعَدُ الْکَلِمُ الطَّیِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ یَرْفَعُہُ } meaning: Pure words ascend to Allah and righteous deeds are also raised up to Him. Then he said: Nothing breaks the prayer, but such an act is disliked.
