Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The prayer in congregation is more than twenty and some degrees superior to the prayer offered alone.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The prayer in congregation is twenty-five times superior to the prayer offered alone. If a person offers prayer in a forest, performs ablution properly, and then completes the bowing and prostration fully, his prayer reaches up to fifty degrees.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The prayer in congregation is twenty-five times superior to the prayer offered alone.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The prayer in congregation is twenty-seven times superior to the prayer offered alone.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The prayer in congregation is twenty-five times superior to the prayer offered alone.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah states that congregational prayer is twenty-four times greater than individual prayer.

Hazrat Abu Huraira states that congregational prayer is twenty-five times superior to individual prayer.

Hazrat Abdullah says that the reward for a person who offers prayer in congregation is increased by twenty and some more times compared to offering prayer in the market or alone. He says that it was instructed to take small steps when coming towards the mosque.

Hazrat Thabit bin Ubaid narrates that we came to Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit while he was performing sajdah (prostration) in prayer on a mat. He said that congregational prayer is twenty-five times superior to individual prayer.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the prayer with the Imam is twenty-seven times superior to the prayer offered alone.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the prayer in congregation is twenty-five times greater than the prayer offered alone. If there are more people, then the reward is equal to the number of people present in the mosque. A man asked, "If there are ten thousand people, then how much reward is there?" He replied, "If there are forty thousand, then the reward will be for forty thousand."

Hazrat Ka'b states that when one offers prayer in congregation, one receives a reward equal to the number of people present in the mosque.

Hazrat Kathir bin Aflah narrates that we were present in Madinah at the house of Hazrat Abu Yusuf regarding a matter of calculation. Zaid bin Thabit was also with us. He said that offering prayer with the Imam is more than twenty times superior to offering prayer alone.

Hazrat Abdullah says that prayer in congregation is twenty-four degrees or twenty-five times greater than prayer offered alone.
