Hasan reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led two rak‘ahs in the solar eclipse prayer, and in one of them he recited Surah An-Najm.

Hazrat Majshoon says that I heard Hazrat Aban bin Uthman recite Surah Al-Ma'arij in the solar eclipse prayer.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Isa says that Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila led us in the lunar eclipse prayer in the manner of the Ramadan prayer and began the recitation with Surah Yaseen.

Hazrat Ja'far bin Burqan says that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz wrote to us about the earthquake in Syria, instructing that on the second day of such-and-such month, go out, and whoever among you has the ability to give charity should give charity. Because Allah Almighty says: Successful indeed is the one who purifies himself, and remembers the name of his Lord, and prays.
