Those Scholars Who Say Upon Reaching the Destination, One Should Pray Full Prayers
Hadith 8441
٨٤٤١ - حدثنا أبو بكر (قال) (١) ثنا معتمر بن سليمان عن ليث عن طاوس عن عائشة قالت: إذا وضعت الزاد والمزاد فصل أربعًا، وكان طاوس إذا قدم مكة صلى أربعًا (٢).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that when you leave your provisions and mount, then perform the full prayer. Hazrat Tawus, upon coming to Makkah, used to lead four rak'ahs in prayer.
Hadith 8442
٨٤٤٢ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن داود عن أبي العالية قال: يصلي ركعتين فإذا أطمأن صلى أربعًا، يعني إذا نزل.
Hazrat Abu Alia states that he will perform two rak'ahs, and when he attains tranquility, he will perform four rak'ahs.
Hadith 8443
٨٤٤٣ - حدثنا ابن علية (عن أيوب) (١) (عن) (٢) عمرو عن عطاء عن ابن عباس قال: إذا انتهيت إلى ماشيتك فأتمم (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: When you reach your destination, perform the full prayer.
Hadith 8444
٨٤٤٤ - حدثنا ابن علية عن ابن جريج عن عطاء عن ابن عباس مثله (١).
It is narrated similarly through another chain.
Hadith 8445
٨٤٤٥ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن هشام عن الحسن قال: إذا قدم (مسافر) (١) مصرًا من الأمصار صلى أربعًا.
Hasan says that when a traveler reaches a city, he should perform four rak‘ahs.
