Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Salim and Hazrat Qasim used to say that when the people of Makkah set out for Mina, they will perform Qasr (shortened prayer). Hazrat Ata and Hazrat Zuhri used to say that they will perform the full prayer.

Hazrat Nafi' narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) was residing in Makkah, and when he would go to Mina, he would shorten the prayers.

Hazrat Hanzala says that I asked Hazrat Qasim about performing prayer with the Imam at Arafah, so he said: "Pray according to his prayer." I asked Hazrat Salim and Hazrat Tawus about this as well, and they also said the same.

Hazrat Mujahid and Hazrat Ata state that there is no shortened prayer (qasr) for the people of Makkah during Hajj.
