Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Nafi Abu Dawood says that I went out of the mosque with Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). I took off my socks, and he heard the sound of a pebble falling outside. Upon this, he said, "Put this pebble back, otherwise it will argue with you on the Day of Judgment."

Hazrat Ka'b or Hazrat Abu Hurairah says that if a pebble is removed from the mosque, it will quarrel with the one who removed it.

Hazrat Mujahid says that there is a hadith, and it is not new, that if a pebble is taken out of the mosque, it screams or recites tasbih.

Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hammad, “What if a pebble is taken out of the mosque?” He replied, “Put it back.” I asked Hazrat Hakam about this, and he said, “Until they are put back, they scream; I have heard that they make a screaming sound.”

Hazrat Ibn Sirin used to say to his servant or maid that if you find any pebble in my sock, put it back in the mosque.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair says that the pebble curses and speaks ill of the person who removes it from the mosque.

Hazrat Sulaiman bin Yasar says that when a pebble is taken out of the mosque, it keeps crying out for that person until it is put back.

Hazrat Mujahid says that when a pebble is taken out of the mosque, it screams.
