Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The best rows for women are the last rows, and the worst of their rows are the front rows.

Hazrat Abdullah used to say that the best rows for women are the back rows.

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the best rows for women are the last rows, and their worst rows are the front rows.

Hazrat Urwah narrates that the best rows for women are the last rows, and their worst rows are the front rows.

It is narrated similarly through another chain.

Hazrat Husain narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) used to place elderly women in the front rows among the women's rows and would make the young women stand in the back rows.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The best rows for women are the last rows, and the worst of them are the front rows.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The best rows for men are the front rows and the worst rows are the back rows, and the best rows for women are the back rows and their worst rows are the front rows.
