Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that one of Hazrat Umar’s wives used to offer the Fajr and Isha prayers in congregation. Someone said to her, “Why do you go for prayer when you know that Hazrat Umar dislikes this and gets angry over it?” The woman replied, “Then why does he not stop me?” People said, “The saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prevents him from stopping you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not stop Allah’s female servants from going to the mosques.”

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from coming to the mosques. However, when they come, they should not wear perfume.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had seen the things that have appeared among women today, he would have forbidden them from going to the mosque, just as the women of Bani Israel were forbidden. Someone asked, "Were they forbidden?" Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) replied, "Yes."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from coming to the mosques.

Ibrahim narrates that the wife of Hazrat Abu Mas'ud used to perform the 'Isha prayer in congregation at the mosque.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When your women seek permission from you to go to the mosque, then grant them permission.
