Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that once the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me, "Give me the prayer mat from the mosque so that I may prostrate on it." I said, "I am in the state of menstruation." He replied, "Your menstruation is not in your hand."

Hasan narrates that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) was asked whether a woman can give her husband water for ablution or anything else in the mosque. He replied that her menstruation is not in her hand.

Ibrahim says that there is no harm if a menstruating woman, without entering the mosque, places something in it or picks something up from it.

Hazrat Zuhri says that there is no harm if a menstruating woman places or picks up something in the mosque.

Hazrat Qatadah says that a menstruating woman can take something from the mosque but cannot place anything there.

Hazrat Uthman bin Hunaif said to his maid, "O girl! Give me that prayer mat on which prostration is performed." She said, "I am not praying these days." He replied, "Your menstruation is not in your hand."

Hazrat Nafi' narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said to his slave-girl, "Give me that prayer mat on which prostration is performed." She replied, "I am not praying these days." He said, "Your menstruation is not in your hand."

Ibrahim says that a menstruating woman can place something in the mosque and can also pick something up.

Hazrat Ata was asked whether a menstruating woman can pick up something from the mosque? He replied, yes, but she cannot touch the Mushaf.

Hasan did not see any harm in a menstruating woman placing or picking up something in the mosque.
