Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After the rising of dawn, there is no prayer except the two rak'ahs before the Fajr prayer.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) and Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) state that after the rising of Fajr, there is no prayer except the two rak'ahs before the Fajr prayer.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that after the rising of dawn, there is no prayer except the two rak'ahs before the Fajr prayer.

Hazrat Amr bin Murrah says that Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib saw me performing some missed Tahajjud prayer after the rising of dawn. He said to me, "Do you not know that at this time, apart from the two Sunnah of Fajr, it is not permissible to perform any other prayer?"

Ibrahim says that the predecessors considered it disliked to perform any prayer after the rising of dawn except for the two Sunnah (units).

Ibrahim states that the predecessors considered it undesirable to perform any other prayer between the two Sunnah of Fajr and the obligatory Fajr prayer.
