Hazrat Tariq bin Shihab says that I offered the Fajr prayer behind Hazrat Umar. When he finished the recitation, he said the takbeer and then recited the Du'a Qunoot, then said the takbeer again and then performed the ruku.

Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman Salmi narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said the takbeer to recite the Qunoot in Fajr, then said the takbeer to go into ruku.

Hazrat Abu Juham narrates that Hazrat Bara used to say the takbeer before the qunoot.

Hazrat Abu Juham narrates that Hazrat Bara’ recited Qunoot in Fajr; for this, after completing the recitation, he said Takbeer, and he also said Takbeer for Ruku.

Hazrat Abu Sinan narrates that Hazrat Mahan used to say the takbeer before the qunoot in the Fajr prayer.

Hazrat Abdul A'la narrates that Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman used to say the takbeer before the qunoot in the Fajr prayer, and he would also say the takbeer before bowing (ruku).

Hazrat Zuhair says that I asked Hazrat Abu Ishaq, "Do you say the takbeer before the qunoot in the Fajr prayer?" He replied, "Yes."

Hazrat Harith narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to begin the Qunoot with Takbeer.
