من كان يحب أن يوتر قبل أن يصبح
Those who preferred praying Witr before Fajr
Hadith 6934
٦٩٣٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: (حدثنا) (١) عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي نضرة عن ابي سعيد (الخدري) (٢) (عن) (٣) النبي ﷺ أنه قال: "أوتروا [قبل أن تصبحوا" (٤).
Hazrat Abu Saeed narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Offer the Witr prayer before dawn.
Hadith 6935
٦٩٣٥ - حدثنا هشيم عن ابن عون عن إبراهيم قال: كانوا يحبون أن يوتروا] (١) من آخر الليل.
Ibrahim says that the predecessors used to prefer offering Witr in the last part of the night.
Hadith 6936
٦٩٣٦ - حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: الوتر بليل والسحور بليل.
Ibrahim says that Witr will also be prayed at night and Suhoor will also be eaten at night.
Hadith 6937
٦٩٣٧ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أخبرنا مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: الوتر من أول الليل (حسن) (١) (وأفضله) (٢) آخره.
Ibrahim says that it is good to offer Witr in the early part of the night, and the best time is the last part.
Hadith 6938
٦٩٣٨ - حدثنا هشيم (عن يونس) (١) عن الحسن.
Hasan, Ibrahim, and Hazrat Ata say that Witr should be offered at night.
Hadith 6941
٦٩٤١ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أخبرنا يونس عن الحسن قال: قال عمر بن الخطاب: لأن أوتر بليل أحب إلي من أن أحيي ليلتي ثم أوتر بعد ما يصبح (١).
Hazrat Umar bin Khattab says that it is more beloved to me to perform Witr at night than to spend the whole night in worship and perform Witr after the rising of Fajr.
Hadith 6942
٦٩٤٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن علي بن صالح عن أبي حبيب قال: قلت لإبراهيم أي ساعة؟ قال علي: نعم ساعة الوتر هذه -قال: - بغلس قبل الفجر (١).
Hazrat Abu Habib says that I asked Ibrahim about which time Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the best time for Witr is? He replied that he said this about the darkness before Fajr.
