Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lie down on his side after performing the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr.

Hazrat Ibn Sirin states that Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari, Hazrat Rafi' bin Khadij, and Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with them) used to lie down on their side after performing the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr.

Muhammad says that Hazrat Abu Musa and Hazrat Rafi' bin Khadij used to lie down on their side after performing the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr.

Hazrat Ghailan bin Abdullah reports that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) offered the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr, then he lay down on his side.

Hazrat Mujahid narrates that Marwan asked Hazrat Abu Hurairah about reclining on one’s side after performing the two Sunnah rak‘ahs of Fajr, so he replied: Do not offer the obligatory prayer until you have reclined.

After performing the two Sunnah of Fajr, Muhammad used to lie down on his side.

Hazrat Abdul Kareem narrates that Hazrat Urwah entered the mosque while people were offering the Fajr prayer. He performed two Sunnah rak'ahs, then he rested his back on the ground, and then joined the people and offered the Fajr prayer in congregation.
