Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Mughira says that I asked Ibrahim, "If during prayer I hear someone reciting {إِنَّ اللَّہَ وَمَلاَئِکَتَہُ یُصَلُّونَ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ }, should I recite Durood?" He replied, "Yes, if you wish, you may recite it."

Hasan says that when a person recites {إِنَّ اللَّہَ وَمَلاَئِکَتَہُ یُصَلُّونَ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ ، یَا أَیُّہَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَیْہِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِیمَا } in prayer, he should also send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Ibn Sirin says that during the recitation of the Holy Qur'an, no other speech should be inserted; rather, the recitation of the Qur'an should be continued exactly as it is.

Hazrat Jabir says that I asked Hazrat Amir, if a person recites {إِنَّ اللَّہَ وَمَلاَئِکَتَہُ یُصَلُّونَ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ } during prayer, should he recite Durood or pass by? He replied, he should pass by.
