Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah narrates that I have performed the Eid prayers several times with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) without Adhan and without Iqamah.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that I have participated in the Eid prayers with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) without (the call of) adhan and without iqamah.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the Eid prayer without (calling) Adhan and without Iqamah.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the people in the Eid prayer at the house of Kathir bin As-Salt, in which he performed the prayer before the sermon. Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) did not mention the call to prayer (adhan) or the commencement (iqamah).

Hazrat Simak says that I saw Mughira bin Shu’bah, Dahhak, and Ziyad leading the Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha prayers without adhan and without iqamah.

Hazrat Simak says that Hazrat Mughira led the Eid prayer without adhan and without iqamah.

Hazrat Mak'hool says that there is neither Adhan nor Iqamah for the two Eids.

Hazrat Ikrimah states that there is neither Adhan nor Iqamah for the two Eids.

Hazrat Ata narrates that Hazrat Ibn al-Zubair asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the adhan and iqamah for the Eid prayers (at that time, their relations were good). Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied that neither give the adhan nor say the iqamah for the Eid prayers. When relations between the two deteriorated, Hazrat Ibn al-Zubair used to give the adhan and iqamah for the Eid prayers.

Muhammad says that giving the call to prayer (adhan) for the Eid prayer is an innovation (bid'ah).

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib says that the call to prayer (adhan) for the Eid prayer was first started by Hazrat Muawiyah.

Ibrahim says that there is neither adhan nor iqamah in the Eid prayers, nor is there recitation behind the imam.

Hazrat Isa bin Mughira says that I asked Abu Wa'il whether the predecessors used to give the call to prayer (adhan) on Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr. He said, "No."

Hazrat Aamir and Hazrat Hakam state that giving the call to prayer (adhan) on Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr is an innovation (bid'ah).

Hazrat Husain says that on Eid prayer, Ziyad was the first to give the adhan.

Hazrat Bara’ narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Eid prayer without (calling) the adhan and without the iqamah.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) led the Eid prayer without Adhan and without Iqamah.
