كيف يكبر يوم عرفة
How to recite takbir on the Day of Arafah
Hadith 5768
٥٧٦٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم قال: كانوا يكبرون يوم عرفة وأحدهم مستقبل القبلة في دبر الصلاة: اللَّه أكبر، اللَّه أكبر، لا إله إلا اللَّه، واللَّه أكبر، اللَّه أكبر، وللَّه الحمد.
Ibrahim narrates that the predecessors, on the Day of Arafah, after the prayer, would face the Ka'bah and say these takbeerat: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no deity except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise.
Hadith 5769
٥٧٦٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن حسن بن صالح عن أبي إسحاق عن أبي الأحوص عن عبد اللَّه أنه كان يكبر أيام التشريق: اللَّه أكبر، اللَّه أكبر، لا إله إلا اللَّه، واللَّه أكبر، (اللَّه أكبر) (١) وللَّه الحمد (٢).
Hazrat Abu Al-Ahwas narrates that Hazrat Abdullah used to say this Takbeer during the days of Tashreeq: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil hamd.
Hadith 5770
٥٧٧٠ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن أبي إسحاق عن الأسود عن (عبد اللَّه) (١) أنه كان يكبّر من صلاة الفجر يوم عرفة إلى صلاة العصر من يوم النحر فذكر مثل حديث وكيع (٢).
Hazrat Aswad narrates that Hazrat Abdullah used to recite the Takbeerat from the Fajr prayer on the Day of Arafah until the Asr prayer on the Day of Nahr. Further, the words are mentioned as in the hadith of Hazrat Waki’.
Hadith 5771
٥٧٧١ - حدثنا (يزيد) (١) بن هارون قال: حدثنا شريك قال: قلت لأبي إسحاق: كيف كان (تكبير) (٢) علي وعبد اللَّه؟ قال: كانا يقولان: اللَّه أكبر، اللَّه أكبر، لا إله إلا اللَّه، واللَّه أكبر، اللَّه أكبر، وللَّه الحمد (٣).
Hazrat Shareek says that I asked Abu Ishaq how Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Abdullah used to say the Takbeerat. He replied that the words of their Takbeerat were: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil hamd.
Hadith 5772
٥٧٧٢ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال (١) (نا) (٢) حميد أن الحسن كان يكبّر: اللَّه أكبر، اللَّه أكبر، ثلاث مرات.
Hasan used to say Allahu Akbar three times.
Hadith 5773
٥٧٧٣ - حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن أبي بكار عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس أنه كان يقول: اللَّه أكبر كبيرا، اللَّه أكبر كبيرا، اللَّه أكبر وأجلّ، اللَّه أكبر وللَّه الحمد (١).
The words of takbir of Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) were: Allah is the Greatest, very Great; Allah is the Greatest, very Great; Allah is the Greatest and Most Majestic; Allah is the Greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise.
