Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibn Aun says that whenever there was heavy rain on Friday, Muhammad would not perform the Friday prayer.

Hazrat Kathir, the freed slave of Ibn Samrah, says that I passed by Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Samrah while he was sitting at his door. He asked, "What sermon did your leader deliver?" I said, "Did you not attend the Friday prayer?" He replied, "This mud prevented us from performing the prayer."

Hazrat Abdullah bin Harith narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) instructed his announcer to proclaim on Friday that the prayer will be performed in the tents, the prayer will be performed in the tents.
