Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

The grandmother of Abdullah bin Ma’dan says that Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said to us women that if you come to offer the Friday prayer, then pray that prayer with the Imam, and if you pray at home, then pray four rak’ahs.

Hasan, regarding the woman who comes to the mosque to pray on Friday, says that she will pray the same prayer as the Imam, and this is sufficient for her.

Hasan says that if women perform the Friday prayer with the Imam, then the Imam’s prayer is sufficient for them.

Hasan narrates that women used to perform the Friday prayer with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). They were told to attend the Friday prayer without applying perfume.

Ibrahim says that if a woman comes for Jumu'ah, she will pray two rak'ahs, however, participating in Jumu'ah is not obligatory upon her.

Hasan narrates that the emigrant women used to perform the Friday prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and they considered it sufficient in place of the Zuhr prayer.

Hazrat Qatadah says that if a woman prays with the imam, then the imam's prayer is sufficient for her.
