Those Who Consider Praying While Sitting Without Excuse as Disliked
Hadith 4674
٤٦٧٤ - حدثنا أبو (الأحوص) (١) (عن أبي إسحاق) (٢) عن أبي سلمة (بن) (٣) عبد الرحمن عن أم سلمة أم المؤمنين قالت: والذي ذهب بنفسه ما مات حتى كان أكثر صلاته وهو جالس (٤).
Hazrat Umm Salamah, Mother of the Believers, says that the blessed person who departed from this world (i.e., the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him), most of his prayers before his passing were performed while sitting.
Hadith 4675
٤٦٧٥ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن كهمس عن عبد اللَّه بن شقيق قال سألت عائشة: ⦗٥١٣⦘ (أكان) (١) النبي ﷺ يصلي قاعدا؟ قالت: بعد ما حطمته (السن) (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Shaqiq says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) whether the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer prayers while sitting. She replied, "Yes, when he became advanced in age."
Hadith 4676
٤٦٧٦ - حدثنا (عبيد اللَّه) (١) عن حسن بن صالح عن السماك عن جابر بن سمرة قال: ما مات رسول اللَّه ﷺ حتى صلَّى قاعدًا (٢).
Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform prayers while sitting before his passing.
